Most of us will have been touched by cancer in our lives, either personally, through a family member or friend. I’m no different and I am passionate about supporting those with cancer. I have seen first-hand that complementary therapies such as massage, when used alongside conventional treatment approaches such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery or drug therapy, can help reduce the side effects caused by conventional treatments to bring both mental and physical relief and make living with cancer more comfortable. I take my commitment to cancer (oncology) clients very seriously and have done extensive training and have relevant insurance, to ensure that I have appropriate knowledge about cancers and their treatments to tailor a safe, bespoke session. I am also qualified in ScarWork, advanced ScarWork for Breast Cancer and pelvic and abdominal ScarWork. These are specialised techniques for working on all types of scars to help reduce pain, discomfort and dysfunction. I also use myofascial release techniques for gentle, intuitive care to help with pain and movement issues. I have a gorgeous purpose-built garden cabin where clients can get away from the day to day challenge of cancer treatment to just relax and enjoy being nurtured.
