After a career in Finance, I retrained to work with people affected by one or more Chronic Conditions. After achieving a First Class degree in Health and Exercise Referral I gained an MSc in Long Term and Chronic Condition Management, with Merit, at Swansea University. I currently work on a self-employed basis in Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation, but I also work part-time in the NHS Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team for Worcestershire. In the past 5 years members of my family and close friends have been through Cancer. Watching them going through personal challenges and chemotherapy, I felt powerless not being able to help them. When the opportunity to become an Oncology Massage Therapist arose, I knew it was the chance I needed to gain the tools to help them through these difficult times.
